Individual Psychotherapy
I specialize in psychotherapy, with the option to integrate psychiatric medications as needed. I have a focus on insight-oriented or psychodynamic psychotherapy, though I draw from a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies in my work. I take a warm and collaborative approach, and believe that building trust and genuine connection is fundamental to establishing a relationship wherein you can explore and deepen your understanding of yourself. Over time we will consider together aspects you may want to change or bring into balance.
I pay particular attention to the ways you have been shaped by your environment, including your early and current relational contexts and experiences, the social systems you are operating in, and the ways structural factors interact with aspects of your identity. Understanding how you have been situated will help us explore patterns of thinking, feeling and relating to others that may have been helpful and protective in the past, but may no longer be working well in your current contexts. I believe we are all oriented toward connection and growth, and that deepening our relationships and reliance on one another is important to healing.

I have a particular interest in working with individuals belonging to the LGBTQIA+ community, navigating the perinatal period, with a trauma history, or struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, stress, or burnout.
I have a small number of slots available for individuals who are already working with a therapist and/or interested in medication management only. I typically integrate non-medication related recommendations into this type of treatment as well (eg, psychotherapy modalities to consider, behavioral or lifestyle changes to focus on, and so forth) which are tailored to the problems you are experiencing. Please inquire about availability of medication-focused treatment if this is your primary goal.
NOTE: Due to the limitations of my practice, there are certain services I am not currently providing. These include: child/adolescent services, ADHD assessments, disability evaluations, forensic evaluations, Labor & Industries assessments (L&I), court-ordered treatment; or assessments for work, child custody, emotional support animals or weapon ownership.
FEES & INSURANCE
I am in network with Premera Blue Cross and Regence Blue Shield.

I am otherwise out-of-network for all other insurance providers. If I am out of network with your insurance carrier, I can provide you with a monthly itemized receipt (“superbill”) which you can use to seek possible reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider prior to your first appointment to inquire about your benefits and coverage for in- and out-of-network mental health services, and to confirm whether I am considered in network with your plan. Please note that Medicare does not provide out-of-network reimbursement.
Please contact me directly for more information about current fees and payment methods. I typically provide information regarding practice policies and fees after an initial phone conversation and prior to our first appointment to review.
Good Faith Estimate and No Surprises Act: You have the right to receive a good faith estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost if you do not have insurance or are not using insurance. For more information, see https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
